Frequent Questions

For LT2, what are the requirements for resampling?

Under the final LT2 rule, PWSs must resample when a required parameter is missing (141.702(b)(2)(i)). PWSs only need to resample for the constituent that is missing.  However, if you must resample for Cryptosporidium, EPA recommends that you also resample for E. Coli and turbidity.  Results from resampling can be entered into the DCTS.  Note that the DCTS will flag all results that are not paired (i.e. taken on the same days).  PWSs must enter a sufficient explanation in the comments field in the DCTS so that the State/EPA reviewer understands why the resample was necessary.  For example: sample breakage, shipping problems, etc.
