The system should contact the State to explain the situation. There are many variables and system-specific issues that will affect the decision and the State is best situated to make those decisions. Any monitoring must be as representative (both time and space) as the sample it is replacing. The system should be prepared to make recommendations and support those recommendations.
Options include, but are not limited to, same location as soon as possible or a nearby location that can be used in an LRAA compliance calculation.
