The sample we took for the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Regulation 2 (UCMR 2) did not meet quality control requirements. When should we recollect the sample?
Recollection should occur as soon as possible, but must be within 30 days of the lab notification of the sampling or laboratory error. UCMR 2 requires that samples be recollected if a samples fails to meet specified sample collection or analytical quality control requirements. Samples must also be recollected if a sample container is lost, damaged during shipping, broken during the processing at the lab, or if a sample result is subject to laboratory error.
